Lakeshore & Vecchio Pontile We begin our walk at Hotel Eden Roc and follow the lakeside promenade to the old boat pier ("Vecchio Pontile"), a peaceful spot right by the water. Here you can soak in the relaxed lakeside atmosphere and watch the vibrant activity of Piazza Giuseppe Motta from a distance — an ideal place to pause and let your gaze wander across the lake. Chiesa San Michele – History with a View From there, the path winds through Ascona’s picturesque alleyways and ascends to the Chiesa San Michele. This small 17th-century church sits on a hill above the town and is only accessible on foot. After a short but rewarding climb, you’ll be treated to one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Ascona, the lake, and the surrounding mountains — a perfect spot for photos and a quiet moment. Collegio Papio – Renaissance Architecture & a Journey Through Time Back in the heart of the town, we head to Collegio Papio. Founded in 1585, this former Jesuit college impresses with its Renaissance-style atrium made of Baveno granite and its unique atmosphere that brings history to life. Located on the edge of the old town, the building is an architectural highlight well worth a visit. Stunning Views & Mediterranean Charm Throughout the walk, you’ll enjoy ever-changing perspectives of Lake Maggiore, the Brissago Islands, and picturesque Ascona. The route leads through shady alleyways, past small boutiques and cafés — perfect for soaking up the Mediterranean flair of Ticino. Participation is complimentary for guests of Hotel Eden Roc.

Enjoy a special excursion from Hotel Eden Roc to the Casa del Tè on Monte Verità — a two-hour journey into the fascinating world of tea. We begin our relaxed outing in the hotel lobby, where our shuttle picks us up for a short ride to the historic Monte Verità. This hilltop location delights with its unique atmosphere and magnificent views of Lake Maggiore. At Casa del Tè, you'll be warmly welcomed and given an engaging introduction to the history and culture of tea, followed by a guided tour through the lovingly designed tea garden. Next, enjoy an exclusive tea tasting, where you'll sample a variety of fine teas and discover their delicate aromas. The on-site tea experts are happy to share their knowledge, answer your questions, and offer valuable tips about tea. After the tasting, take a moment to relax in the peaceful tea pavilion or browse the small shop for special tea accessories.
